  • Movement: High-grade eight-day spring driven movement with Brocot visible escapement with jewel pallets.
  • Movement features: Recoil escapement with fine leaf pinions and pivots. Time regulation achieved using a small square at the 12 -position. Comes with double-ended key.
  • Strike: Hours and half hour on a bell
  • Condition notes: Sons of Francis Alan Knolton, Worcester, Massachusetts managed a jewelry and horology business located at 374 Main Street. Francis Alan Knowlton was in business from 1877-1920. Case proportions are excellent for a narrow mantel or shelf (9” H x 12 ½” W x 6 ½” D)
